Common questions
When will CaptureSeal be available?
Soon, on iPhone and Android. It isn’t in any app store yet. Join the waitlist and we’ll email you the day it launches.
What do I need to run CaptureSeal?
An iPhone or an Android phone. We’ll publish the minimum iOS and Android versions at launch. Phones with secure key hardware (the Secure Enclave on iPhone, StrongBox or a TEE on Android) keep the signing key there.
Where are my photos stored?
In CaptureSeal’s private library on your phone, with a copy saved to your photo library. Sealing finishes even if you leave the app mid-capture.
How do I create a verify link?
Verify links are part of Pro, and every device gets 3 free links to try them, each online for 30 days. Open the capture’s Seal details and choose Create Verify Link, then share it. You can also pick Verify Link from the share menu. The stamp’s QR code opens the same record.
How do I share a capture so someone can check the file itself?
Use Share → Proof File. It makes one .seal file anyone can verify: the stamped photo or video, its signed record (manifest.json) and signature (manifest.sig). It opens in CaptureSeal on iPhone, with a preview right in Files, Mail and Messages; on any computer, drop it on captureseal.link/verify. Inside it’s a standard zip archive, so it stays inspectable with ordinary tools and OpenSSL.
How do I withdraw a verify link?
Open the capture’s Seal details and choose Withdraw. The public page then says the owner withdrew the record, and that record can’t be published again.
Why is the time labelled “Device time”?
The phone was offline, or the network-time check hadn’t completed, so the time couldn’t be cross-checked against internet time. The record says so honestly.
Why does the address say “approximate”?
Location access was set to approximate, or GPS accuracy was poor (often indoors). The record includes the accuracy so a reader can judge it.
My file doesn’t match its record. Why?
It isn’t byte-for-byte the sealed file. Copies sent through messaging apps are recompressed. Export the original from CaptureSeal, or send a Proof File.
How will purchases, restores and refunds work?
Pro is bought through Apple or Google in the app. Restore purchases from CaptureSeal’s Settings, signed in to the same Apple Account or Google account. Cancel a subscription in your phone’s subscription settings; refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their policies.
How do I get off the waitlist?
Email support@techynar.com from the address you signed up with, and we’ll delete it.
