Terms of use

Effective October 15, 2026

These terms apply to the CaptureSeal app (coming soon to iPhone and Android), verify links, the launch waitlist and this website, provided by techynAR (“we”). By using them you agree to these terms.

1. The app licence

The app is licensed, not sold. If you get it from Apple, Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the “Standard EULA”) also applies; if you get it from Google Play, Google Play’s terms also apply. If they conflict with these terms, these terms apply to the extent those agreements allow.

2. Subscriptions and purchases

3. What a seal means

A CaptureSeal seal is tamper-evident: it lets anyone check that a file and its record haven’t changed since a device key signed them. It doesn’t establish that a scene is genuine, who took a capture, or the legal weight of any evidence. Location and time depend on your device, GPS and network conditions. You’re responsible for how you use captures and for following the laws that apply to you.

4. Verify links

When you publish a verify link, you confirm you have the right to share that record, including its location. You can withdraw it at any time. We may remove records that break these terms or the law, and we apply rate limits to protect the service.

5. Acceptable use

Don’t use CaptureSeal to break the law, invade anyone’s privacy, harass people, mislead others with records you know to be false, or interfere with the service, including by scraping verify pages or circumventing rate limits.

6. Availability

We aim to keep verify links online but don’t guarantee uninterrupted availability. Records are designed so they can always be checked offline with the Proof File (.seal) and standard tools such as OpenSSL.

The waitlist is a mailing list for launch news; joining it doesn’t reserve a price or create an account. See the privacy policy.

7. Disclaimers and liability

The app and services are provided “as is”. To the extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties and aren’t liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for any decision someone makes based on a capture or its verification. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law that can’t be limited.

8. Changes and contact

We may update these terms and will change the effective date when we do. Questions: support@techynar.com.
